Doktor Toddzilla and his Lab Rats are working on saving the world, one song at a time.
The Doktor lives in a remote farmhouse in Southeastern Michigan...when not on tour.
He is well known in Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands and Britan for his travels with
Blues/Rocker Michael Katon, and has played and toured with other such Blues and R&B
luminaries as Snooky Pryor, Ann Rabson, Big Dave & the Ultrasonics, Madcat Ruth and
Boogie Woogie Red. On his solo recordings his writing displays an even broader and more
eclectic pallette, revealing his delights in many other genres of music. African Mbganga,
Beatlesque Pop, 60's Funk, Appliachian & Rockabilly elements fuse together in a startling
but enjoyable cross-cultural romp. "I'm having too much fun to worry about what influence
goes where," Says the Doktor, "I like letting the various elements have their way with me."
His first CD, "My Whole Life", was released on Reptile House Records in 1999 to critical
acclaim and mild public alarm. "Isobel Is Flying", the new recording, is due out in early
Spring. "'Isobel' has a Mid-60's Psychedelic feel to it, as opposed to "My Whole Life",
and its Garagey, Countrified vibe. I finaly found my old phaser and located the control on
the computer that went 'Ping' and my flashbacks intensified and everything started swirling
around and I knew that I was on the right path." Perhaps a warning for the unwary? Or reason
for anticipation? Look for song postings from "Isobel Is Flying" on this site soon!
