Marcel "Ablu" Rivers, the owner of a powerful little recording studio called RemacSuite located in Washington DC, has been record for a little over 2 years now and has grown to different styles of music, with this he brings you a mixture of Jazz, Ambient & Hip Hop.
What's up im Marcel and welcome to my site, here you will learn alittle more about me and my style of music. I began recording in 1998, then I was listening to all different styles of music feeling my way around, searching for something diferent, this is when I thought to myself all music these days sound so much alike, the three styles of music that sparked my interest were contemporary jazz, R&B and hiphop/jazz,this is contemporary "Acoustic HipHop" which also has a blend of ambient and triphop.
Some of my favorite artist are Chante' Moore that's my girl, she's definitly my No.1 in my top 5 list, others are Rachelle Ferrell, Minnie Riperton, Kenny Latimore, Brian McKnight and George Duke. Band influences are Esthero, Hooverphonic, Everything But The Girl, Brooklyn Funk Essentials and Chemical Bros. On the rock / alternative side I like Dave Matthews Band, Lenny Kravitz, SavageGarden, Incubus, Rage Against The Machine and Jamiroqui, other style of music I like are electronic jungle, I like to mix this with alittle ambient and contemporary R&B.
My base talent is singing i've been singing for 19 years now practising from some of the various artist i've listed above, I have a six octave range and I sing Contemporary Jazz and R&B.
My Favorite Equipment: Emagic Platinum Audio 4.7 with Rocket Network, AKG C400B Mic, ART Mic preamp, Roland XP-30 and my BBE Processor.
