Welcome
Thank you for visiting Fintan's website. For Fintan, the last three months have been turned upside down as his life has gone from jubilation heartache. Fintan was expecting his baby Daughter in March 2002 and although his partner enjoyed a perfect pregnancy, baby Brogen was starved of oxygen during delivery and was left severely brain damaged. Ironically Brogen was delivered on Mothers day and as a result of her brain damage, she is unable to see, hear, suck or swallow and has to be fed through a tube. Her life has been spent so far in Hospital with both Fintan and Lisa staying by her bedside. Brogen remains in intensive care and turns blue almost daily as her brain does not always tell her to breathe. Sadly Brogen's quality of life will be low and her life expectancy is shortened. If Brogen is to reach her highest potential then she will require 24-hour care, which includes physiotherapy and speech therapy. In the UK, much of the care that Brogen needs will not be funded by the National Health Service and therefore has to be paid for by Brogen's Mummy and Daddy. It is because of this that they have launched Brogen's Appeal It is hoped that if enough funds can be raised then Brogen will be able to get the care and treatment that she needs and that enough money can be raised to take her to the Peto Institute which is based in Hungary. They specialise in helping children like Brogen reach the highest potential. 3 months ago Fintan was unknown on MP3 and after work colleagues put his song on MP3 as a joke, his song "You're Always In My Heart" went to No1 all over the world and enjoyed higher positioning than established artists such as Janet Jackson, Pink, Brandy, Enya, Craig David, Alanis Morissette, Tom Jones and many others losing out to Fintan's song. A practical joke that backfired led to media around the world writing about his meteoric rise to fame. TV followed and then record companies were desperate to talk to him in the hope of securing a deal. All of this happened, as Brogen was about to enter the world. Both Fintan and Lisa have been devastated by what Brogen has gone though and the life ahead for her. Most days they cry as they see Brogen suffer from yet another epileptic fit or turning blue episode. She has to be suctioned many times a day through her nose and into her throat, which is very uncomfortable for the baby. Any plans for an album are firmly on hold although you can purchase a MP3 album with all proceeds going straight to the appeal.
With your support we can make a difference to Brogen's care and if you would like to see her then visit http://www.Brogen.co.uk. If you would like to offer any help or guidance then please email Fintan through this site or alternatively you could make a purchase of the album with proceeds going directly to the Appeal
