The Straightup Blues Band began in 1998 as a group of friends and co-workers getting together to 'Jam' just for the fun of it. Then things went a little crazy. People actually liked our music, stage presence and blues attitude. We believe that the blues is an individual thing. The blues feeling is your inner self saying that there needs to be change. The task of the bluesman is to find the musical key that unlocks those feelings and prompts you to make positive changes. The Straightup Blues Band has found the key in honest, straight from the heart blues
