    Our philosophy
portsonar focuses on producing lush, atmospheric & evolving music based upon playful harmonies blended with throbbing baselines, hefty rythms and transitions. We aim to intrigue and engage in a somewhat pleasant way.

We believe portsonar has a distinct musical expression, quite unexampled if you ask us, but that's something you have to find out and decide! Anyway, if your into engaging, phat, groovy, relaxing, massive, stimulating, intelligent, evolving, dynamic or expressive (or something up that alley...) electronica, portsonar might be something for you! If you prefer straight forward, plain, simple, listless, senseless "four-to-the-flour-and-hands-in-the-air" kind of music, you're probably better off trying something else:-} At least that's our opinion. We've right to have an opinion right..? Anyway it's all the matter of personal preferences.- We certainly hope you'll enjoy our stuff!-)

We'll promise to produce and add a lot of goodies frequently, so feel free to bookmark this page (press CTRL-D to bookmark).

"I tuned the piano" is quite different from the other portsonar stuff. It's more like an "instrumental electronic ballade" without the bittersweet after-taste... Might give you associations to Moby (we sincerely believe so)! Warm & soulful melody for the so-often needed breaks from the usual trot. Released 19th of June 2002.
