A slightly off-the-cuff
styling of drum and bass and experimental electronica with an emphasis on pushing out in
new directions. Producing music since 1986 and all strains of electronica since 1990,
.m.l.v has focused on creating music that reflects what he feels rather than
what listeners may necessarily want to hear. Constantly creating new songs, literally
hundreds of tunes so far, .m.l.v tries to bring a new twist in each musical experiment.
After months of lethargy regarding
updating this site (MP3.com takes forever to post a song), I have decided to update the listener
with eleven tracks I created during the month of September 2002. I picked a variety of tunes to
hopefully keep the listener from becoming bored. Eventually, I may post up some of the tracks
I made between Feb. and Aug., its not probable.

A pain-stakingly hand coded synth opens this slightly drum & bass influenced track. Might I suggest again that the synth took a lot of time to program. I took a previous incarnation down to Huatulco, Mexico and it got a lot of play in the clubs. That’s me plunking around on the guitar in the background. |

Pretty much schnockered on some European beer the evening I created this, perhaps I subconsciously ripped the vibe off from DJ Patife or something. It features and festers me tweaking the mod knobs on a horn sample, at some point I began mixing over it with records, then a raw stab at flamenco style guitar. I am enjoying this one, the relaxed vibe is nice to me, and its not so pretentiously over-worked that it bores me. |

A little breakbeat diddy that kept me happy at work for almost a week. Gets a little zany with the vocal samples, which was part of the odd charm for me. Boom tap. |
