Ok, more updates. I'm actually putting the Requiem on.
I said I was going to in March but it never happened.
It's ok though because I have a better recording now.
I originally had one with 12 singers now I have
one with 90. So, take a listen. It just won an
award in the I Wage Peace
choral competition. Oh, also you can visit my
new home page
now. I'll be updating that quite frequently...and
working out all the bugs...
Ok, more stuff. A solo flute piece.

The word castigation means harsh criticism. I named the piece that because I assumed that after I heard it for the first time that's what I'd do...self castigate. While there are quite a few things I'd change, I'm ok with my first orchestral attempt. I suppose it's atonal, maybe octatonic in some parts. |

A choral piece I wrote for the victims of September 11th. For unaccompanied large chorus that divides to a maximum of SSSAATTBBB. The text is a portion of the Requiem mass text, still in Latin |

a four movement work for solo flute (uploaded as four different tracks). Uses the same motive at some point in each movement. I basically wrote it to give a friend of mine a challange. |

"Surgeons must be careful"
This is the first song in the cycle for soprano and piano. I kept them seperate to allow smaller downloads. This song cycle is meant to be fun. It uses very short Dickinson texts, two of them being only four lines long. It also employes very little text repetition so each song becomes a short view of what the intended mood is supposed to be. |

"You cannot put a fire out."
Fifth and last song in the cycle. As I said, I kept the songs seperate to facilitate faster d/l times. I would recommend starting with either the 3rd or 5th song in the cycle to get a feel for it. |
