BABY(Josh Stewart, Ben McAllister, Ian Rashkin and Neil Wilson) creates
its sound by combining over 80 years of experience performing and composing
in rock, jazz, orchestral, pop, Cuban, Balkan, reggae, ska and avante-improv
styles. Throughout North America, Europe and Asia the members of BABY have
delivered ground-breaking work in such bands as Medicine Hat, The Degenerate
Art Ensemble, Eyes Like Mars, Ota-Prota and Kultur Shock. This next
collective step works toward melding the individual influences of the
quartet into one sound. One part rock, one part everything else, BABY
crosses genre boundaries with abandon, utilizing vocals, guitar, bass, drums
and trumpet in heretofore unexplored combinations. Whether hitting
through-composed, original and creative tunes or riding their tight,
powerful improv, BABY grooves with its own sound, promising a heavy and
personal set every time.
