The Evening Sundown Volume II Issue 5 - Well summers here and its time for BBQ's with friends and family, pool parties, weekend getaways ( if you can beat the traffic) and some great upcoming shows like Dio and Maiden, Kansas and "Asia around America" and Styx and Journey + REO to name a few. The Sundown Project hit a major milestone this past month breaking the 1,000 plays mark. And its not us playing it so people are hearing the music and liking what they hear!!! We love writing it...Someone asked me about writing songs for today's music versus what we do and my response was " Today's music lasts for today, The Sundwon Project tunes will last a lifetime. They are timeless and eternal in the fabric of time and will always be inter-twined with history. They are in fact timeless". A great article in Keyboard Magazine last month talked about the state of Prog Rock and how its not a 4 letter word. Prog rock is a wonderful blend of styles ranging from Rock and Blues to Classical and New Age to Funkadelic and AOR ( Album oriented melidoc rock). We contunue our pursuits in the studio to finish the next 5 tracks and release "Changing Views". Progress is being made every week and though a little slow at times we have been fully collaborating on these new tracks especially the title track Changing Views. We anticipate putting the demo version on the site in the next few weeks as I personally am impentient!! and feel demos are good too.. :-)
The EP is availble for purchase with some great art work and wonderful mixes and mastering courtesy of Vin Cin at EPS Studios. Great news.. The Sundown Project's upgraded web site shoudl be up soon thanks to JD and his unreal graphic ability. Many new things will be there including a flash movie for To Other Suns.updated galleries of art and band photos and some streaming video once we get the technical issues resolved.
We would love to play out in NYC or LI, so anybody, band or fan wishing to see us or team up live like our friends from IV Days or opthe rlocal NY NJ bands, please email me. Have a safe July 4th long live America and the United States of, and we'll see you for an update in mid-july. Till then, keep playing the tunes, email your favorites to your frieds, drive us up the charts becasue this is our fan base, the listeners at mp3.co. and our family and friends. Special thanks to our famillies for putting up with us, our children and wives fro inspiring us, our moms and dads and to each other for the efforts......
