"hit out at the people who caused you this pain..."
After sleeping in the car overnight in a queue to Glastonbury in 1990 in the company of two people who were way too in love for my comfort, I sat outside on top of the car in the early morning and wrote this. I was tired. |

"'cos he was scared you know - yeah right."
In 1991, I flew for the first time. No, really, in the air. I can still remember a drizzly day transformed simply by being at the right altitude. I try to hold on to that image. |

"oh how i would love to open my heart to you, tear out my soul, explain all my life to you..."
Just occasionally you get lucky, and write a track which gives you goosebumps yourself. This is the one for me. Probably the most lyrically obvious of all the pre-fix tracks. |
