A nice sing-a-long new wave song with an ironic nod towards the production of Duran Duran's "Rio" period. The chorus goes "la," so it's pretty easy to remember... |

This is a very dance-y uptempo track remiscent of Pet Shop Boys or Saint Etienne. The band were listening to a lot of Saint Etienne in particular when this track was produced, and it shows. The lyric is a bit like Morrissey in funny-Morrissey mode, and also not unlike like Stephin Merritt. The song is rather country-ish in its raw music form, but you can't really tell through the keyboards, which is always a nice perk when it happens in a Magnetic Fields song. |
