Sadiel Cuentas was born in Lima, Peru, in September 1973. After finishing high school in 1990, he played electric guitar in several rock groups for 5 years. He was admitted into Peru´s National Conservatory in August 1995, and studied composition with Enrique Iturriaga and Dante Valdez. His music has been played in several local concerts since 1999. In October 2001 his first orchestral composition was premiered by the National Conservatory´s Symphonic Orchestra. Currently he teaches at Villa María High School, and composes music for his degree examinations. Sadiel Cuentas has written the following compositions:
