The local paper quoted us as saying "We're not country." Okay. Not sure which one of us said that. Probably because none of us did. But it is totally true. We aren't country.
The Handicapables formed for a mere two weeks during the summer of 2001 for a crezzy talent show featuring Northeastern Montana's finest country music acts. One night at the outstanding Johnnie's Cafe, Travis came up with the rokken notion to recruit Daniel, Matt, and myself to perform country music's antithesis: The Handicapables. In a period of two weeks, the band came up with two songs to feature: "2007 Kix", and "A Higher Taste". Neither were country. The songs were recorded and made available for your listening pleasure.
It could be said that the band was merely a two week project. This may be true. Nobody knows. Not even the band. 2001-2001 for the Handicapables, disbanding shortly after the county fair? Possibly. After all, Travis is now in Seattle, Daniel and myself are in Missoula, and Matt is still in Glasgow waiting to graduate from high school. The end? Hopefully not. Stay tuned...
A CD is available, and if you'd like it, send an email to thehandicapables@yahoo.com. It costs some dough, though, so if you are a cheap-o, just download all the songs and burn a copy for yourself. It's the same thing minus the pictures. E-mail us if you have any comments as well.

Add glitter and glue to "On Listening to Country Music," and you got this sucker. This one got the grannies pumpin' in the first row. Look at 'em dance. It's a great song. Listen to it. |
