It has been a while since we have updated you all on whats been going on with the
band. There have been many rumours about the band circulating, and we would like
to dispell them. The band HAS NOT broken up. We are still together, and stronger
than ever.
As for the bands lineup, we have had a change. Paul Alleman has left the band due to personal reasons, and has been replaced by John Offreda. As for our vocalist situation, Lurch (Jay) is still a part of the band. We took a short hiatus to iron out some details in our lives, and to write some new material. The current band lineup is as follows: Jay Sika (Vocals), Jimmy Millroy (Guitars), Mike Porrino (Guitars), David Jones (Bass), and John Offreda (Drums). As for the new material, we currently have 3-4 new songs complete, and are working on getting back in the studio to possibly record our first full length. We will have more details on that when things are finalized.
We are also contemplating changing the band name. We will fill you all in on that in the days to come. The website will be seeing a complete redesign in the next two weeks as well so keep an eye out.
While we were taking a break, we had some interesting happenings go on. As many of you may know, our vocalist Lurch filled in for Lamb of God at L'amours in Brooklyn, NY a few weeks ago. Vocalist Randy Blythe had an accident while on stage during the first song of the set. Mark Hunter of Chimaira came out to help, and shortly after brought Lurch on stage to finish the remainder of the set. We will be posting pictures and video from L'amours as soon as it is available. Randy from Lamb of God thanked Lurch on their website www.lamb-of-god.com. Here is what Randy had to say:
Hey Ya'll- Sorry about what happened in Brooklyn- I guess it was too dark and too early for my old-ass to be stage diving. Thanks to Mark from Chimeria and Lurch from Carnapple for stepping up and helping us out. I woke up in the ambulance with our merch guy Judd and was like- " how many songs did I get through? " and he just shook his head and said one. I almost started bawlin' cuz I knew I had dissapointed our fans and my band. They were mega-pissed at me about the whole getting knocked out thing, sooooooooo- yesterday I had to rock the dreaded PINK JACKET. The dreaded PINK JACKET is one of our inner-band punishments. If you fuck up real bad, you get the jacket and have to walk around in it all day looking completely gay as fuck ( yes, even on stage ). Then at the end of the day you have to sign and date it. The dreaded PINK JACKET has been worn my dudes from Mushroomhead, 5 pointeO, and LOG. we'll see if anyone else on this tour fucks up bad enough to wear it (oh yeah, it's never been washed and was found in some garbage last tour, so you smell really bad in it.). Anyway, just to let ya'll know- there will be no shows cancelled and I will be there. I'm pretty banged up, and last night hurt to play- but fuck it, the rock must go on and I've dissapointed enough people in NYC- can't be a pussy and let pain stop ya! Speaking of which- the hospital tried to prescribe me fucking MOTRIN- what the fuck? Isn't that for PMS? So yeah a coupla peeps slid me two Vicoden last night(thanks Gary!)- it helped- if any of ya'll got some Vics or percocets ya could kick down at a show I will be in your debt, cuz this shit hurts. O.K., thanks again for your patience and once again I apologize to Brooklyn for fucking up the show. I'm paying for it now, don't worry (ha ha ha). Live from the "Harsh Realm 03" tour- D.Randall
