That's right.. The Oklahoma City Bombers are officially broken up.
So here's what happened.....
The band was up in San Francisco playing a couple shows up there,
and Eric got a little bothered that things weren't really all that
kick ass anymore. When you first join a band, every time you play,
and especially everytime you play live, it feels like you just won
the lottery and hit the winning run in the world series, at the same time.
But then you start caring about stupid things like how many people are
showing up, and writing new songs just for the sake of writing them, etc.
So Eric bought a sailboat, and went sailing. His intention was to
leave the US and sail into the South Pacific, and end up a couple
years later in Australia or New Zealand. Because of cash reasons, that
trip has been delayed for quite some time.
While that happened, Matt and Aaron basicly got pissed at Eric, and
it was rather deserved.
Eric is a central part of Free Radio San Diego 96.9FM,
and Aaron is in a new band called The Attacks.
Aaron wanted to play harder and faster stuff, and Eric wanted to play slower
and more folky stuff, so there you go.
Being in The O.C. Bombers was one of the best experiences of my life, and I
will never forget all of the incredible experiences we had, the people that we
met, the places we saw, and the music we tried our best to produce.
Take care, and change the world to make it whatever you want it to be.
