"A Day In The Life" available for purchase now!!

[please help a starving artist, don't make me beg]

Mystery of Sorrow is a solo project of Dave "Fritz" Ayala. from the Las Vegas progressive metal band: Vanishment

NEWS: I'm still hard at work on Destinies of the Mind, look for two new tracks to show up on the Mystery Of Sorrow station page called "Alone" and "Revenge". These will definately offer more insight into the story line! Also it's starting to look like Mystery of Sorrow is becoming rather focused in direction with a strong leaning toward an electronic darkwave sound with a small smatterring of heavier but tasteful guitar work.

"Destinies Of The Mind". This will be a complete futuristic concept and lyrically compelling storyline set in the year 3113. It's shaping up to be some of my best work to date and will be more vocal intensive while continuing to follow the musical directions of my current Mystery Of Sorrow tracks: "Missing", "The Traveler", "Dark Night" and "Confession Is Good For The Soul"

As it stands, MP3.com is pretty intent on destroying there own creation. As it stands now, unless artists fork over cash, we can only display three songs on our page. This wouldn't be so bad except that you pretty much can't add any new songs with out the old ones being permanantly dropped from station play. In otherwords, everything that MP3.com once stood for has pretty much been thrown out the window. Anyone out there know of a good place that's picked up where MP3.com has dropped the ball, please drop me aline and let me know, I'd love to be able to display more songs. So far, IUMA.com isn't really cutting it either.

A BIG thanks to all those who have emailed. Comments and conversations are always welcome at: MysteryOfSorrow@aol.com

Here's where I beg you to sign my guestbook. Heck this would be a great place to link your own musical endeaver too, good chance I'll prolly have a listen.

Stick with this song. It starts slow and builds a bit, layer after layer. A bit eerie or morose perhaps. The spoken dialogue is philisophical thoughts about loss and hope. A few sound effects here and there contribute more to the over all meaning. This could be my farorite track on "A Day In The Life".

A slow-tempo, atmospheric piece with a strong emotional feel. The mood is subtle and remains so throughout the song. The short tasteful solo in the center was performed on a Yamaha Windjammer midi wind controller.

The Traveler is an orchestral styled piece that has a bit of a fantasy King Arthur/film track sound to it. I enjoy listening to a lot of music with these sorts of elements including film scores and groups like Kamelot and Symphony X. I've always wanted to do an epic bombastic movement like this, watch for more of this in the future.
