"Tony Hill is considered to be a pioneer of the
psychedelic guitar back in the sixties when he
was with cult band The Misunderstood. He later
went on to form High Tide who's music broke down
all barriers and gave a new meaning the word
PSYCHEDELIA. With his new band FICTION, expect
a fuzz drenched, mind blowing, psychedelic guitar
work out that will amaze any self respecting
music lover".
Mark Newman. 2001
"From the early days with The Misunderstood and
later on, High Tide, Tony Hill has consistently
pushed the barrier of psychedelic, fuzz guitar
to new limits. With his new band, Fiction, he
has returned to his 70's roots and is playing a
fine blend of classic rock, monster guitar
work-outs and full on rock 'n' roll with he's new
three piece power trio. With a CD to be released
in the very near future (now released-ed) and the
confirmation of gigs at well established venues,
expect to hear a lot more from this true guitar
legend in the coming months"

First song written as a 'Fiction' tune. The words initially were part of the sleeve notes on a recently released album of Tony's original band, High Tide. This album called 'Open Season' is a respective look back at Tony's career to date with High Tide. Anyway, that's where the words come from... |
