Having earned his wings playing in clubs spanning from the Hamptons and Manhattan, to Ski Country in upstate New York and Connecticut, JimDel has entertained thousands through the nineties and the new millenium.

As an honors graduate of the Percussion Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California, JimDel has evolved in the likes of Don Henley and Phil Collins as a studied drummer gone front man and song writer. He calls his style of music Progressive Pop. Pop: powerful and catchy sing-along hooks; Progressive: Unique styling of song structure, chord progression and thought provoking lyrics with psychological roots. Del‘s music taps into his innate interests and formal training, having earned a Masters Degree in psychology and counseling. Always the perpetual student, his writing style is vivid, personal and restricted by no musical rules.

From the sugary pop style of Radio Love Song, a heartbreaking tale describing one‘s deep emotional connection to those mushy love songs when you are in love – and the painful disdain of the sad songs when you‘re out of love; to jagged epic impact of The High Way, a piece describing the affects of a vicious car accident and one‘s ascension into heaven. Miss Taken, another air-wave worthy pop tune, hints toward a smooth ‘country‘ feel, and then there is Sleep, My Baby, a lullaby, exposing yet another facet to Del‘s writing depth.

Currently, JimDel is employed as a counselor at Commack High School by day, and drummer/lead singer for the unique acoustic trio X-Session, by night. You will soon see him as front-man with The Focus Group performing his solo material at a club near you.
