Dirty Johnny is inspired by the glory days of what punk used to be. Back when the NYC 70's scene was the sh*t!!!!
Remember Johnny Thunders? The Dead Boys? Ramones? NY Dolls? The Stooges? The 70's English scene?
We do!!!! That was a time when punk meant that you could do anything you wanted. Nowadays you need a $100 pair of Dr.Martens and "the total look" or else your not punk enuf!!
Also, you no longer sing in a punk band, you just go up on the stage and scream "fu*k" until you're blue in the face.
Thats sad! - cause those people are missing the point of what punk is really about. We let you hear old-school punk rock like it was supposed to be played - fast and loud, but with real lyrics and a real melody.
Boris Hemlock (Area 13) says, "without a doubt, in your face punk rock'n'roll! Dave belts you in the gut with lyrical attitude with which you deserve to get hit! Old school influenced with every beat'n'chord."
