A self-taught musician from southern Connecticut, Jesse's "main" instrument is the guitar - it was his first word and has been a part of his life ever since. He also regularly plays the bass and drums, and dabbles on the lap steel, piano, mandolin, and banjo. Never formally educated in music, he has developed a unique, heavily improvised style, under the influences of blues, jazz/fusion, classic/southern/psychedelic rock, bluegrass... the list goes on. He enjoys playing music for the purpose of entertainment, but his true focus lies in taking his open-minded listeners (and himself) on a journey through sound, in the belief that music can affect our minds, bodies and souls like few other things can. He believes that listening to and playing improvised music can extend the boundaries of our imaginations and inspire new ideas and experiences. Jesse is currently working on his debut solo album, and can be seen appearing around the CT open mic scene and making occasional guest appearances with local bands.
