I recorded this directly from a radio tuned to the extreme high end of the AM band, somewhere around 1600 kHz. I then filtered out the basic "static", quasi-white noise. Finally, I applied a compressor to moderate the amplitudes of the strong pulses. What I ended up with is something that sounds vaguely alien and organic, with rhythmic sections all through. |

Biomechanical noise, chirpy electric melodies, 60-cycle hum, and natural as well as synthesized vocals layered together into a sonic miasma. |

Here is a rather fast-tempo piece in which I play with rhythm and alternative tuning. |
