This is a cover-version of the well-known German-Bavarian folk song, the official anthem of the Munich "Oktoberfest". I decided to place it here on an international platform, because it is probably the best known German folk-song.

Caspar brought this old traditional along, and I agreed at once, that we should take it into our repertoire. We play it very slow, but this is what the songs needs. By the way: If you got any chance listen to the version done by Odetta - it´s heavenly!!!!

My inspiration for this cover-song-recording was the version of Louis Armstrong and the Mills Brothers. On drums Lomonada-drummer Carsten Friedel does again excellent work. Listen to the details! Credits go out to James A. Bland - great composer! To be honest, I´ve only once been in West Virginia, but whoever wants to invite me...
