Maggie Clement is a vocalist, guitarist and songwriter in Atlanta, Georgia.
With many years of live performance and recording experience, she has continuously polished her voice and presence on stage and in the studio. She has performed with many bands over the years. She is currently the lead female vocalist and rhythm guitarist for "Soul Purpose", an 11-piece soul, R&B and oldies band that has opened for acts such as Peter Noone and The Beach Boys.
She became a popular session vocalist in the Nashville area before moving to Atlanta. Her 1991 and 1993 "You Can Be a Star" appearances on TNN in Nashville gave her nationwide exposure.
After moving to Atlanta, she won an Atlanta Songwriter's Association Award for her pop tunes, "Nice Girl", and "Living in the Twilight Zone", while participating in the Georgia Music Festival with her band, "Maggie & The Beats".
She continues to write her own music and perform regularly. Among her many influences are Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Linda Ronstadt, Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell, Aretha Franklin, Ann Wilson (Heart), Natalie Cole, Chrissy Hynde, Sarah Mclaughlin, The Beatles . . . . .
