Cherry Pink Reason is Harry & Francine Latimer, Phil & Angela Pieraldi & Angelo Latimer. Reunited in 1998 the group was once one of the premier live groups in the Washington-Baltimore & Northern Virginia region. During the early 1970s the group opened up in concert for Steam, The Buchanon Brothers, Lou Rawls, Main Ingrediant and a few more choice acts of the day. Cherry Pink Reason was subsequently signed to a major recording contract by Mercury Records. The group performed on local television dance shows and traveled the region doing shows with the most popular radio disc Jockeys of their time. Towards the middle of the 1970s decade the group disbanded and it's members drifted apart eventually losing touch with each other until 1998 when they reunited by chance. Soon after their reunion group producers Harry Latimer & Phil Pieraldi began work on the groups first full length album which is expected to be released in mid 2002. Phil writes all of the groups material. Harry is the recording engineer and together Harry & Phil produce the groups recordings out of their Annapolis home studio called Good Day Mix. The upcoming album which has been two years in the making will be titled "These Days" and will feature 13 tunes which define the groups maturity and creativity. Last fall the group recorded and released "Still Strong America" a tune that tried to capture the turmoil following the September 11, 2001 attacks. The song was played on Annapolis radio stations and received good reviews. It was also featured on MakeaStar.com in the Sweet 16 category and voted winner its first two weeks of competition. Though it all started with Harry, Phil & Angelo, The ladies have provided a unique difference with their harmonies to compliment a very melodic style. These are five "Baby Boomers" that not only love yesterday's music but have a good understanding of today’s Pop music.
