This ass-kikkin' up-tempo "boogie-swing" rips along like Brando-through-a-buffet! This one will grab both listeners AND fans of swing-dancing. This is the airplay version from the "Big Band Theory" CD.(other version starts off with at "spacey" intro -but you'll hafta get the CD to hear it). |

This is another Bruce Rudolph original (as are all songs on "The Big Band Theory" CD).It's got a great solid funk groove, built around the trademark "big band power" of this drummer / keyboardist / arranger / composer. The feel could be considered not unlike the Average White Band's "Pick Up The Pieces" - but with a little looser "jam" texture. As usual, Rudolph is the sole musician on Slingerland drums and the Alesis Quadrasynth Plus midi keyboard. |

Medium bop full big-band "power swing". This one was composed as a more traditional big-band "cooker". Features great drum work (extended solo, too) and as is customary on all these Bruce Rudolph originals, you would never know you're listening to a midi keyboard instead of real bones, trumpets, saxes, and bass guitar. You ARE, of course, hearing the real thing on drums (as always). |
