This instrumental score is based on the South Indian classical raga KalyanaVasantham. You can hear six parts of guitars placed around the stereo spectrum. I have made an attempt to mix Flamenco and Kalyanavasnatham, Flamenco can be played only by a guitar, still worth a try.Apart from guitars, I have also added flute, strings and brass scores. You might also hear few sound effects I did this it to make it sound little dramatic. Send your feed back |

The imaginary subject in the score is a Lonely Bird. She is missing her companion. It is already past dusk he is yet to come back. She is perched on a branch, her sweet home. Her anxious eyes keeps looking for him as far she could see. Her mood seems to be composed in the beginning, but slowly she starts to nervous and fears crops into her, her feelings become emotional, her mind boggles. She starts to worry about unpleasant events! However at the same time she tries to console herself. She tries to remember good time she had with him. This mental agony goes on for a while. Sun hides its bright face beneath the western sky, she becomes tired and falls asleep waiting for her companion! Studio1234 presents the Lonely Bird By Srikanth. E Major, the common scale for many composers worldwide. Regardless of the music genre, I feel human ears have a special attraction for E Major. This is a fusion score that mixes Western Classical Music and South Indian Music without reducing much of the flavor in both the forms of music. I have named it Walking Alone with Major "E".This is a 14-part arrangement with Violins (1&2&3), Violas (1&2), Cello (1&2), Double bass, Horns, Brass, Oboe, Flute, Harp and percussions. It took about 10days to score this entire 5+ minutes arrangement. Hear it and please remember to send your feedback. |

An Artist has the freedom to explore, Sky is his limit!..., This is my novel attempt on something different, however I have tuned it aiming at the Indian audience. My friend, Ryan Manners played the guitar track in the second interlude. Ryan is an upcoming guitarist in Pittsburgh Area. After a long time a natural instrument is used in my score. I thank him for his time and effort.

Score opens with somewhat a slow tempo then changes to something completly different It changes to a typical South Indian form of dance music, few told me it sounds like a blend between beats from the Southern Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Goa. I had great fun while composing it, I am sure you will also have the same hearing it. |

Bright Colours: This score is composed based on 2 south Indian ragas - Bhairavi and Nadanamakriya the lead instrument is Sax,. Watch for guitar /piano accents, strings counter points etc, also in first part watch the Indian percussion placements, might sound interesting to you. It was an interesting experience to compose arrangement for Bhairavi., You will find the raga Nadanamakriya has some Arabic tint., I loved playing it….hope you like it…Please send me your feed back |

This song was recorded during the recording session of "Signatures" (Tamil music album) with Raja Govindarajan, Kansas City. RajaG needs no further introduction; he is the most popular performing artist among Indians in the US. Apart from his tight recording schedule, He was kind enough to do backing vocals for this song. A big thanks Rajag, without him nothing would have been possible.
The lead singer for this song is (introducing) Murali Shanker (MS), Columbia, SC. Murali flew right across the country to sing this track. He did a great job and I am sure he has a good future. Female lead vocals by Mani Shastri, Austin, TX, blends in her unique voice very well to the score.
Lyrics by Balaji Srinivasan, SFO, CA., Balaji comes out with great lyrics in a short notice. He has also done good work in “Signatures”.
Sound Mixing and balancing by Krishna, Fremont, CA. without him final mix would not have sounded so clear. Music Composed and Performed by Srikanth, Pittsburgh, PA.
This song has some rock and hard rock flavor, set to the CMajor. I have tried to get a live rock show feel for the track. Please send you feed back

The Cart Song (Tamil)
This is our first track in the series “FOLKAL POINT”. You would have heard the instrumental version of the score. The Groove is set to a fast traveling bullock cart that passes through rough mud roads of southern Tamilnadu. A village peasant drives the cart with a group of local village folks. One of his passengers happens to be his girl friend. She is sitting at the end of the cart wondering what this guy is up to; he sings about the natural ambiance his cart travels through. He tries to prove that his girl friend is more beautiful than the picturesque route that he is traveling. Vocals by (Introducing) Vijay, WA. Vijay is a great find. Vijay has a great control over his voice. He has good future in singing.Lyrics: Udhaya, CA and Ranga, CA. Audio Consultant: Krishna, CA. Recorded and Mixed at Studio1234, Bellevue WA.Please email your comments to studio1234@hotmail.com |

The mystic land of India is known for its rich natural resources. One such natural beauty is the peacock dance. This score depicts a dancing peacock with its mate. This simple folk tune is a Ragamaliga, meaning a tune with more than 1 raga. The First part of the dance theme is tuned in Mohanam and the second part is tuned to Durga. It is an absolute semi classical folk song without much of western influence. Vocals by Vijay and Lyrics by Udhaya.backing vocals By Anu and Subha Digitially Recorded and mixed at Studio1234,Bellevue, Wa.Please feel free to download the tracks and email your comments. |

The Wedding song celebrates the Hindu wedding rituals and the myths associated with them. The lyrics use numbers to explain the different aspects of these rituals and myths. This song also explains the significance of Indian marriages. Bride and the groom greet visitors during the wedding reception and a male singer on stage renders the song about wedding. I requested Udhaya to come up with a lyric for the above situation; Udhaya came up with something good, He has a done a great job in writing the lyrics (He took about 2 hrs to complete this song). I simply salute his imagination.Vijay with his soft and sweet voice renders the song very well. We recommend newly wed couples or couples who got engaged recently to hear the song. This song will feature in our Folkal point collection. I have used minimum background instruments to give emphasis to lyrics and the melody. Recorded digitally (24bit) at Studio1234, Bellevue WA,. I thank my friends Sheela, Vidhya and Rags (and many more!) for encouraging me to compose more vocal albums. After this song was recorded, two of our close friends got engaged, as a token of love and affection to them I dedicate this song to them. Please email you comments. |

Bharathi, the most spirited poet lived during an eventful period of Indian history. Gandhi, Tilak, Aurobindo and V.V.S.Aiyar were his contemporaries. He involved himself with passion in the Indian freedom struggle. His 'Viduthalai, Viduthalai' was a clarion call for freedom from alien rule. He saw a great India. He saw an India of skilled workers and an educated people. He saw an India where women would be free BhArathiyAr is not merely content to be proud of his country. He continues to outline his visions of a free India, not some wild dream of a poet living in his own imaginary world but the aspirations and hopes of a true patriot who has specific ideas of how different regions of the country can live happily, share the resources for their mutual benefits. His dreams are outlined in this song. I enjoy composing tunes for his lyrics.
Vocals (Introducing) - Vidhya Premkumar from Boston, MA. This being her first venture in a real studio/professional environment renders the song with balanced emotions and perfect pronunciation. I found her voice to be unique for this track. The best thing I like about her singing is the sincerity she showed in understanding the nature of the song. Being a Tamil girl pronunciation was more than perfect. I wish her all the best. My good friend SriRam Lakshman, Hayward, CA, created few sangathees in the score. SL has great ideas and we were lucky for his presence during the recording session. Finally Score Composed and performed by Srikanth. Digitally (24bit) recorded and balanced at Studio1234, Pittsburgh, PA, USA.

Subramaniya Bharathi, the evergreen Tamil poet, ranked on par with scholars like Ilanko, Thiruvalluvar and Kamban gave new life to the Tamil language - and to Tamil national consciousness. He involved himself actively in the Indian freedom struggle. It is sometimes said of Bharathi that he was first an Indian and then a Tamilian. Bharathi also referred to Tamil as his 'mother'. At the same time, he was fluent in many languages including Bengali, Hindi, Sanskrit, Kuuch, and English, frequently translated works from other languages into Tamil. In the song “Sentamiz Nadu” he describes about his mother state, Tamil Nadu. He describes about the greatness of this land. He talks about sons of the Tamil soil and tells the world about their greatness.
Bharathi has also suggested or prescribed guidelines for ragas and beats to be used when composing music for his poems. He has suggested a raga and beat for this song too. This was very apt for the period he lived in. Music has evolved or changed since then. Being a composer I always wanted to interpret Bharathi in a different way. My approach to Bharathi has been always different from that of the traditionalists. The current generations are attracted more towards popular music. I feel current generation should know about Bharathi’s poems and its greatness. This is possible only if we are able to convey to them in their own language.
I came up with this score with basic ingredients of pop and rock. But I also maintained the traditional music, like song is composed in Ragam Thilang. Ravi, A good friend of mine has done the Vocals. Ravi popularly known as Rjay in the Tamil midi circles needs no introduction. We had great time working together. Rjay being a composer himself, it was very easy for me to convey the exact nature of the song. He understood my interpretations and perfectly produced I wanted!, if not more. Please email your feed back to us.
