Philly based modern rock band Broken Jones is making its mark on the local music scene and is known for a diverse high energy live show and hooky, memorable original music.
This four-piece from Philadelphia blends the classic rock tinged instrumental intensity of Pearl Jam with the lyrical economy of the Beatles and a vocal and harmony style reminiscent of REM's early work. The result is a serious, accessible sound with powerful rock edge.
Broken Jones released its first CD on Lucid Music Records in 1999, which has been played on Y100 (Philadelphia), 98 Rock (Baltimore), WSTW (Wilmington), KCMU (Seattle) and others. In addition to an increased live touring schedule, they anticipate to release a second CD of material in 2002.
