THE BAND:
STILLIFE rose out of the ashes of two discontinued North California bands, Disdain and Inviktus. Composed is a group of young aspiring metal, emo, and hardcore “kids” who are simply losing interest in all the carbon copies of bands that are arising in the present alternative metal genre. A need to hear something refreshing, revitalizing, and different determined the direction this group had to go. The goal is to flourish and expand progressive hardcore into a genre of its own, pushing the envelope of influences of bands like Poison the Well, Glassjaw, Vision of Disorder, Nothingface and Machine Head. The final line-up of musicians for this project is Matt (vocals), Chris (percussion), Mikey + Dylan (guitars), and Scott (bass). We are STILLIFE.
