DFP formed in 1986 ponsonby auckland newzealand. founding members donna savage vocals guitar jenny renals bass guitar wendy kjestrup guitar biddy leyland keyboards robin tearle drums. their first gig at performance cafe auckland. lost persons area  ep recorded lab auckland 1986 engineer terry moore.
DFP move to uk 1988 complete john peel session play live dates london and holland and record two albums arriving late in torn and filthy jeans utility and allhail the   daffodil la di da. the band is reduced to savage and leyland by 1991. donna savage performs briefly with st etienne then returns to
 new zealand completing the composition of 100 new songs.
DFP play in auckland in 1999 and record at airforce studio auckland.currently DFP continue living in auckland and release the retrospective compilation secret girls business due out february 2002 via global routes distribution nz and DFPs own label tripping usherette records.
