This song is about wanting to escape out of the boundaries that society puts us all into. Even if that boundary appears to be flexible. We all seem to be categorized in some way, and we even seem to categorize others, instead of simply just existing equally with everyone else. |

I was thinking about how at first you know friends very close, and over time they slowly begin to become just a memory that you think about every now and then. This happens to me quite often, but as I was writing this song I began to think about a friend of mine that felt further away then I had last realized. Even though I accepted the fact that it is very natural for friends to grow their separate ways, I wanted to try so hard to not let Time make this friend completely drift away to soon. |

I wanted to capture some of my feelings about rain in a poem I originally titled "drink rain." The poem was intended to be understood in Japanese, and the translation loses some of the conveyed meanings. Because of this, I sang this whole song in the Japanese language. The beat reminds me of the patterns of sounds that rain makes as it falls in bursts.Rain is alive! Rain can make you alive, just remember to stop and drink the rain. |
