At the age of 16, Erica started going to many Midwest raves and underground party's. This is when the first thought of becoming a DJ had entered her mind. She knew that being a DJ was definitely something that she could do since she already had rhythm from playing the drums. Erica developed a madlove for House and Techno music when she first entered the underground scene, but was lustfully drawn to the complicated and technical rhythms Jungle/Drum-n-Bass had to offer. By the time she was 18, her love for drums and for Drum-n-Bass had persuaded her that she could be an excellent female DJ. The love that Erica has had for the drums since she was a child really came out through Drum-n-Bass. She immediately learned how to spin records and due to the passion she had for drums, she chose to spin Drum-n-Bass.
Erica took the first opportunity available to spin at a local rave, and continued to do so week after week. Eventually she worked her way up to spinning at a local bar a few times a month and at a near by Wisconsin Hip-Hop radio station (WKPO 105.9). After that, she started getting asked to play at many local house parties and raves. By the time Jan-2000 came around, at the age of twenty, Erica was asked by Borgata Records owner Chris Hare to start spinning at his new underground club on a regular basis and to be part of his label. She accepted his offer and helped Chris setup all events that took place at the Borgata Social Club. She booked all the DJ's, setup sound, and organized the line up. With the combination of Erica's musical and promotional skills, came a major respect from local male DJ's that was well deserved!
After all is said and done, Erica hopes to inspire and send out intelligent and positive messages to all people through her music. She also hopes to educate and influence females to get involved with their dreams and to not be intimidated or afraid to display their talent.
