"You guys are sick
-- and I love it!" -
Max Hardcore, LA pornstar
Formed in 1990 in New York City's Washington Square Park, THE STUBBLES
have since built a following that spans around the globe. Many recall the band's
former name, "BARNEY RUBBLE AND THE CUNT STUBBLE." The name itself
became a problem for the band; after an aggressive legal battle with Hanna Barbara
& Co. (the creators of the Flintstones), the band was forced to streamline
their name to THE STUBBLES.
THE STUBBLES have performed as an opening act to a host of headliners that
include The Ramones, GWAR, Biohazard and Antrax. They
have graced area stages: from CBGB's to The Ritz - from The LimeLight
to Irving Plaza. Their songs about dysfunctional sex and violence -- and
the funnier side of Rock n' Roll -- have also hit a sweet spot with college radio
stations across the nation.
Marcus Goodwin, THE
STUBBLES lead singer, A.K.A. Doc Stubble, has just released a new CD, BUTTCRACKER.
The songs are dirtier and funnier than ever. Stubble basist and second vocal,
Johnny Eggz is on it as well. You may visit Goodwin's site at www.marcusgoodwin.com where you can also purchase
SOAP SUD ENEMA, and THE STUBBLES original 7-song lo-fi demo.
