De La Terra (Spanish for 'Of The Earth') is the
brainchild of lead guitarist Doug Towle. After
spending years playing in a variety of projects
the Vancouver native decided to for-go the rock
scene and try something new. He caught wind of
a style of music known as nouveau flamenco and
was instantly hooked. Citing influences like
Jesse Cook, Ottmar Liebert and the Gypsy Kings
he created De La Terra. His years of training
in classical and jazz music really paid off
in creating a unique blend of world music and
Spanish guitar.
