Growing up in a musical family in London, Amor was the youngest student accepted to the Royal Academy of Music. After winning numerous competitions for the violin, he continued his studies at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. He then continued studies at the University of Southern California with the world renowned violinist Jascha Heifetz.
Amor combines his training in violin, viola, piano, and composition in his music and performs every instrument and track on his recordings. He has performed in Europe, the Soviet Union, India, and Canada, as well as several performances at Carnegie Hall. One critic wrote, "Amor thrilled the audience with the sheer brilliance of his interpretation."
Amor performs on a variety of instruments including an 1815 Gagliano violin, a Zeta violin, viola and electronic synthesizers. His other interests include photography and painting.
Amor's latest CD, Music From Inner Space, was composed after suffering a near-death experience. Much of the experience has been captured in the CD, with musical visions of heaven, hell and purgatory.
