Saret Magazine (7/7):
"Another Norwegian band from the Valgalder stable. Again they fall in the new way of northern Metal. Stirnagard´s main characteristic are their vocal expressions - we have breathtaking Black vocals here, complemented by a middle-rough Grind and clear Viking ones. It is amazing when these two throats overlap. The guitars have their typical buzzing, the keys appear only rarely and are distinctively northern. The demo consists of seven compositions with the opening Det Hedenske Inntog being an intro and beginning with the second piece, Kristenblotet, we can start enjoying the vocal art. I must say that this is an incredibly powerful material, because of an absolute originality for one thing and a perfect musical workmanship for another. The keys in those seven pieces have changed style for about 9 times, going from northern to French. The guitars and vocals are perfect. I found to my amusement that the band is formed only by three members:
Vardöger - Black vocals, bass
Audunr Sigurdsson - clear vocals, Grind vocals, guitars
Klepp - drums
Dealing with the vocals, I might be mistaken, my Norwegian is still not on such level it should be. Yes, yes, the key player is only giving a guest performance here. It is Fred Froi - piano, keys. This is an absolute treasure. A new era of Northern Metal has just begun!!
ORDER THIS GREAT DEMO NOW !!
