Vile Threat is an Industrial/Metal style solo project based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The idea for this band started around 2001. R.J. Thompson is the man behind the Vile Threat project, taking assistance from fellow friend/bandmate Chris Weerts (Ghost in the Machine). Being a musician for many years and having various music projects (Ghost in the Machine, Eradicator), the move to create a seperate music project more commercial and designed for radio play, Vile Threat became a welcomed choice. Since the main metal project for R.J. (Eradicator) is a more old school Thrash metal band, creating a seperate metal band for songs that didn't quite fit seemed an obvious decision. Vile Threats musical influences and direction fits Fear Factory, Static X, White Zombie, Ministry, and NIN to name a few. Vile Threat is designed to be 'high energy' metal that grabs you, pulls you in, pumps you up, throws you around and leaves you feeling exhausted
