Deryn was born in Auckland New Zealand and trained at Conservatory of Music at
Auckland University.
Working with international acts such as Kamahl, Sir Howard Morrison and Max Pellicano-
in the "Elvis to the Max" tour - he also finds time to write his own arrangements.
He also features on Kiwi Internet Radio,
the first internet music broadcaster from New Zealand.
