BOB EVERHART Bob is the President of the National Traditional Music Association, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, since 1976. He has performed old-time traditional country, folk, bluegrass, and prairie roots music for the past 25 years. He recorded six LP's for the prestigious Smithsonian-Folkways label. One of them "Time After Time" a Grammy nomination, made personally by Moses Asch. Three of the LP's were re-released on foreign labels; Westwood of Great Britain, Fold Variety in Germany; and Country Circle in Austria. He also recorded special sessions in Ireland, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Germany, and had CD's of these recording sessions released in Europe. The Canadian company, Condor, has just released a new CD by Bob & Sheila entitled "20 American Classics." A special video was made in Mexico of Bob's own composition "No One Comes Near," and a new compilation video from his television show is in the works. Bob & Sheila have recorded six cassettes for Prarie Music Records in the USA, and Bob has made over 22 concert tours to Europe in the past 20 years. He will make his next one in the fall of2001 with his wife Sheila and daughter Bobbie Lhea. They performed on "Americ's Traditional Music & Dance Festival in Dublin, Ireland, in Novermber 2000, for World Music Events. Bob is a meeting planner for that organization. Bob created, and host-produced the sucessful PBS-television program "old Time Country Music," which aired in 22 states. He also produced and hosted a syndicated radio program called "The Old Time Music Hour." His current project is a program called "Bus Stop," and is also working on finding a co-producer for a television program called "Tradition." He was recently the recipeint of a "Lifetime Achievment Award." from World Music Events and is a memeber of "America's Old Time Country Music Hall Of Fame."
