The Anti-Idea
Information, all experiences, explanation, the why’s and how’s, the points and lines between, movements and dialogue between ideas, thoughts, theories, recollections, vision, memory, knowledge, and wisdom...
There are no differences between these things. We are the difference seers: and there is only a difference between how we treat these things, molding what we to our sight (molding our sight to what we see). We alter the world we see without seeing what we are doing to see the world. But if we love (philos-) what we see, we have no reason nor want to alter the world, because loving is not believing. To care for what-is destroys all that-was and that-could-be.
We merely move point to point, a steady course, moment to moment- every moment a scene, we simply experience one scene then another. We are witness bearers, and feel it all must be linked, somehow all of IT these different scenes from one moment to the next. The links are only us, and we squirm...there must be some connection, the randomness is a lack of understanding...our squirming grants a feeling that what us brings that meaning is beyond ourselves. So we pretend our action done to the world is an action done by the "outside" world, we fathom ourselves beyond what we are...like viewing a telescope backwards, only to find ourselves relatively much larger than when comparing our size to the world before shrinking it...we have created a disproportional relativity for seeing our place.... The price for making more meaning for ourselves is that we take away the only meaning we did have, and we moderns mourn our meaninglessness, the missing something, an overall sense of loss and we cant find IT anywhere...and i smile sad smiles to our solutions: to keep on looking, to hold on tighter and never letting go the way things must be, the only way, the human way and just part of our designed nature.
We always begin as the motion of one way (what has been)
and after resting in contradiction, we lay down in defeat
we learn the motion now is the only way things are
and to alleviate what we feel, we believe we are part of the way things must be (so even if it feels so wrong, it has to be right).
I Say: No ways and no hows, no statement without a thousand more, opinions are thought experiments, theories are playful fantasy, there are no sides to your issues – everyone is a single moment, to stay with one is a moment of false glory, a lifetime of living outside a moment gone, a grave is the seeing that one moment gone in the present.
Do not insult me with what you think i believe...
TIME for a tangent...
I’ve been playing around with evolution theory for fun as late; the balances of living as an ecosystem, mostly because the opportunities I’ve found available from Daniel Quinn’s "Ishmael." Quinn retranslates our place and movement in life. And i wish i could explain...do i agree with quinn or with the whisperings of mother culture (as quinn would call our currently prevalent standpoint towards what living means for humans)? I see these two as possibilities, but not in the sense that one or the other may be true (the either/or), or that these are two sides of the same coin (dichotomy, for every action there is an equal & opposite reaction), or that both are truthful accounts in part and the differences are one sided due to relative perspective (the divided parts of the many combines to reveal the whole and nothing but the truth). None of these satisfy, since in every theory treats multiple possibilities of the-way-things-can-be as a process of choice. The-way-things-can-be is a place to get out of, whereas the-way-things-are is the goal mindset. The largest assumption any mind has ever undertaken is that the best way to be is firm in one’s conviction, and given the beginning circumstances i can hardly blame these historical figures – whereas, today we take for granted the dirty work of philosophers, the sciences, religions, political movements, cultural expositions, and all other areas that an idea can be watched, to see its influences, growth, alterations, context movement, and contiguousness. We can see the perfect mirror our theorized ideas has to the-way-things-are according to our convictions, and our convictions is simply the one out of the many possibilities chosen. All possibilities are denied for the novelty of having only one.
Possibility for what, pray tell? For truth? This has never been my intentional use for possibilities. Possibilities are examples, like Quinn and traditional Judeo-Christian theories towards how are we living, each using the same data to create two very different ways of putting that data together. This is fun...but possibilities means different things, and thus it differs for what we decide to do with our ideas, convictions, and influences we have on the world: what is done with data that has been linked? Is it what-is-happening? Does a story that links data mean something to you? Does it become the-way-things-are?
Well, it doesn’t for me. You give me any idea, and i give you a contradicting one using the same info you used to make yours...you tell me something that must be because god wills it, and i’ll tell you not to insult god by believing god to be your ego.... You hand me something that must be because the sciences prove it and i’ll show you how science reveres only what is mathematically closer to accuracy and that conclusions slip from our mouths regarding these est. accuracy’s (although, what usually moves these mouths is very unscientific). As far as i can tell, all these ideas-that-must-be are no different from all other ideas for consideration, except for how much emphasis is placed on that idea personally.
