my name is espen westbye and i`m born in norway-porsgrunn-herøya. I started my trumpet "career" when i was nine. I started in "eindanger gutte korps" and my teacher was ole andreas meen. I started also in grenlandbrass when i was 12. i stared to play cornet. then flugel horn.now i play eb-cornet.
at the age at 14 i began to compose. I composed alot of trumpet fanfares and brassband pieces. my first piece was an arrangement of "final countdown" for brassband. at the age at 19 i use my time to compose music and plays the trumpet as well. My future plans is to get a musical education at norges musikk høgskole as a trumpet player and filmcomposer. my favorite music is filmmusic and my idiols is john williams and hans zimmer. my favorite pieces :

i`m a jazz musician but also plays classical music. i compose most classical, but when my heads need a little rest i do a jazz piece =). nice isn`t it? you can listen to my jazz recordings. i did this recordings in my three school years at "skien vgs". i also compose commercial music as well. such as dance,trance,tehcno.
i love to compose and play music. an i hope sometime i can give this love to you by compose and play music.
