This is a great production and arrangement. I really have little criticism. The programming and performances are strong. All the sounds are good and the track is well mixed.

You've found a unique blend of instruments that work really well with each other. I can hear that you worked really hard to create this blend and it's paid off!

You've created a modern soundscape that is compelling and fun to listen to. I think you have a lot to offer and this piece leaves me wanting to hear more. Your experiment in 'employing' the 'Salendro' and 'Pelog' traditional pentatonic scales (commonly used in Gamelan instrument of Java and Bali) obviously works well as the track didn't reek of being too intellectual just interesting and ever changing. Well done!

Ethnotrancer from Indonesia come to us in an out of body experience, melding the Sunda ethnic pentatonic scale known as Salendro. To this, the creative mind of V&V Dahana hybrid elements of poly-rhythmic trance & techno-manic hyper electron sound waves of pulsing texture & flight.
As in "Spooky Trancer - (Cosmic Stellar)" this fella moves in a horizon all his own, that comes from the great unknown zone drone of FX & software generated compositional inspiration. Whether it be "Twinka Bella" with its unique time signature to cuts like "Behind The Mist" with a reverse gate & major seventh hypnotic backdrop. Ethnotrancer are explorers of the minds muse seeking their own new destination & manifest their unique brand of post modern jungle metropolis.
In works such as "Crying Seal" & "Fidling Chimer's Hitter" the slightly atonal meets the primal. In "The Ducking Salendro" & "Swamphony # 9" ; Ethnotrancer offer a random note mechanic & quirky flow all of their own making, along with cuts like "Sonar Clap Drifter" & it's percussive basis of movement.

"The flight Of kabayan (Acropolitan)" has it's own particular Ethnotrancer vein of theme & purpose with its "Pelog" ethnic musical derivation of Sudanese influence. Whereas "Happy Kacapi - [Under Pressure]" is a whimsical ditty as is the melodic romp of "Cascadian Dance".
One can approach Ethnotrancer in a variety of moods & expect to hear things in a different light upon each listening depending on where one is coming from or going to. Their approach to electronica is cerebral in it's origins & uncompromising in it's particular vision whilst remaining true to it's form & bumping friendly shoulders with similar musical forms & genres.

Ethnotrancer continue to define & expand the electronica trans-techno world beat horizon with a singular path to stretch the medium to incorporate the diversity of cultural nuance & showcase the roots of culture, while at the same time pointing a beacon to the modern musical areas of club euphoric transcendence in parade with a cosmic & infinite overview of the new era of musical expansionary vision that we all live in & embrace in an ever widening Ethnotrancer groove-pulse-sonic scene.
