Written entirely in front of an acoustic piano. Trying out some ideas that were new to me, staying away from a lot of traditional classicism, while at the same time trying to capture the emotion. Influences include Nyman, Barber, Grusha, and Debussy. |

Movement 1 of a projected 3 movement piece. I am told this is my greatest work to date. It is a play on the concept of 7/4 time. Placed 3rd in the Annual Composition Quarters Competition. |
