Transcon Back? Just Maybe...October 20, 2003 - For over a year now, it seemed that the music project known as Semaj Transcon just dropped off the face of the earth. Not so, says the mastermind behind the mixes--James Cornett may be back sooner than expected."I've been trying to get my priorities in line," Cornett explained as he began working on new hits. "The time has come to reintroduce the world to the sound of Semaj Transcon." One major change is the search for a guitarist and vocalist. Whereas past tracks featured JMC doing the majority of the work, this time he's interested in having help. "I think it'll be better if I just stick to the backbeats, songwriting, and production," Cornett added. "The songs I've written are amazing, now it's just a matter of finding people to help create the sounds." The announcment comes on the heels of the release of "Going Nowhere Fast", which features the unreleased materials of the last two years.

Not much to say about this song except that it's typical Transcon electronic. |

When the vocals of Paris By Air meet with the rap from Semaj Transcon, the results can only be described as mismatched glory. With the original voices digitally edited for a futuristic effect, while the rap is, while offbeat, a new spin on the lyrics. Check out Paris By Air by using the link on the Links page. |
