A piece commissioned by Harold Meltzer's Sequitur concert series of New York City, for a cabaret evening of songs of the theme of money. Contains texts from Money magazine, Hrabel's novel "I Served the King of England," and latin texts from the dollar bill set in chant melody. |

First premiered on Jacob Druckman's new music series at Yale, Renee Favand's "i carry your heart with me...silently if, out of not knowable" received resounding response. Sung by mezzo-soprano Hai-Ting Chinn, and conducted by Helen Cha-Pyo (now at Riverside Church in New York), it is scored for flute, violoncello, piano and percussion. |
