Dear Visitor, this mp3.com music site presents an example of Macedonian processional Orthodox music. The music genre in this particular musical Liturgy was developed on basis of the European classical or romantic musical influence with strong presence of the traditional Macedonian folk motives. Those stylistic marks are part of the historical intentions for its cultural fusion with the western European musical culture from the 19th century. However, please note that, this is still "far" from the original Macedonian Traditional Byzantine Chant, (which I am presenting for comparation through the very first five pieces below by the Macedonian composer and musical anthropologist Joan Harmosin - Ohridski from the end of 18th century). The LITURGY [ from 6th to 37th mp3 file] is composed in two lingual versions. First, On traditional church Slavic language as well as on ancient Macedonian known as Arm'na language or Vlah language which you have chance to hear below. The titles of the movements are presented in Macedonian language. The order of the choral chants on the site is exactly as it should be on its processional Church occasion, so I would suggest that the listener should preserve that order, of course not necessarily.
