The Fairlight series of sound generators changed the face of music in the 1980's by giving artists access to a range of sounds never before available.

The IIX is an 8 note polyphonic sampler with additive synthesis and a retail value in the early 80's around $35,000.  The Fairlight's dynamic range is second to none, with an  unparalleled low end frequency response.

Only about 300 of these machines were made and only about 12 exist in this country today.  These samples give you an idea of the sounds for which the CMI was famous for.

All samples were recorded "dry" and level matched.  They never left the digital domain to give the ultimate representation of the Fairlight sound.

Now you can own a collection of samples so rare that until now they have been solely available to the lucky (and very rich) few who actually owned a Fairlight and its full sound library.
