Nick Matty is an extremely versatile guitarist who did not pick up the guitar until the age of 20. Now, 13 years later he is determined to reach all of his musical goals. In the early stages of Nick's playing, such artists as Joe Satriani and Larry Mitchell were his biggest influences. More recently his passion has become Jazz with influence from musicians like Larry Carlton, Joe Pass and Jimmy Bruno. In the past 13 years Nick has studied under some of Philadelphia's best guitar players/teachers including, Michael Kraft, Greg Davies, Reggie Wu, Dale Shimizu and most recently Dave Manley! Currently, Nick is teaching private guitar lessons in the Philadelphia and surrounding suburban area, writing and recording material for his debut CD and as always practicing, practicing, and practicing!!!
