Mr. Modd, Dr. Teeth and Pretzleman formed the Baby Jays in 1978. Later, Big R, Radical Ray, Mad Hatter, Bang Woodbabe, and Birdman joined the group, whose releases include "Hubbardville Cafe," "Prolonged Agony," and "Muscle Beach". In 1998, the Baby Jays issued a compilation of live tracks and the soundtrack to Dr. Teeth's Jays biopic, "Old Days are Old." In the early '90s, Teeth released two discs with the Willig Boys (led by Teeth's brother, Dogwoman). In 2000, Pret le Man issued a Christmas single, "Christmas with the Jays" backed with "Wonderful Haze," a track from his debut solo effort, due later this decade.
The Baby Jays are currently working on their first studio release since "Indian's Lawn" (1987) and also plan to release a 20th Anniversary edition of "Last of the Romantics".
