redefine slowly dissolved during 2001.
it was a great few years. it's good to have
these songs to show for it. they're good songs.
in case you were wondering what the members are
now up to: kenny alex and aric are involved with the musical group
sweet
gravity and the ever ridiculous bison bison, grant has been working on an electronica collaboration called landau and the trip-hop/hip-hop project ambiguous (links to come), braden now focuses on skateboarding and video production, and dj mike's whereabouts are unknown (except for the occasional bison, but who doesn't do the bison every once in a while?).
redefine is a collection of sounds to propel living and dreaming. redefine is not music, redefine is not a band, redefine cannot be touched, only reached and felt. Listen and feel, then DO.
redefine: "Whatever medical science may profess, there is a difference between Life and survival. There is more to being alive than just having a heartbeat and brain activity. Being alive, really alive, is something much subtler and more magnificent. their insturments measure blood preasure and temperature, but overlook joy, wonder, love, all the things that make life really matter. to make our lives really matter again, to get the most out of them, we will have to redefine life itself. We have to dispense with their merely clinical definitions, in favor of ones which have more to do with what we actually feel" -Plagiarized(copyright sign:) 2001unrealization

This is a demo of our song "Disrupting Patterns" that was recorded in the spring of 2001. This song, a few others, and a few new ones will hopefully be rerecorded in January for an actual release of some sort |

This is the track we recorded for "AddContributeShare: The Shareboard Comp", which you can get by contacting us or ordering from http://www.onelinedrawing.com --- In the liner notes of that CD we wrote: "This song was a song that Alex wrote the music for and Aric and Alex wrote the words together to a piano melody (which isn't actually in this version but Grant plays often). This version was recorded nearly all by Alex when he was sick at home with mono with not much else to do, and played most of the instruments, but it does include Aric on Guitar, Kenny singing, and a DJ track done by Mike and Aric. Hope you enjoy!" | MP3.com CD: Acoustic at the Black Box - buy it!

This is a cover of Weezer's song "The World has turned and left me here" that we played at the Black Box. It rocked. |
