Bente' Boe Proves That Country Music Is A State Of Mind Not A Nashville Address
Benté Boe from Sweden has been known for many years as a very talented and
most gifted vocalist. She has toured worldwide with many different bands and artists. One
artist she toured with, was Norwegian Teddy Nelson who also received international
recognition for his performances. Benté appeared in 1995 as an artist at the Norwegian
finals of The European Song Contest, and in 1997 she received the European Country Music
Association's (ECMA) Award;"European Female Singer of the Year 1996".
In 1999 Benté received another ECMA Award;
"Future Star Award 1998". Benté travelled to Texas in September 1999
and received 2 Best Of Texas Awards; "American Horizon Awards"
and "International Modern Country Artist Of The Year". Benté returned from Texas
to Gothenburg, Sweden October 1999 and had an appearance on a well known TV Show in
Sweden.
The year of 2000 started with an appearance on the most popular Danish TV Show
"Musikbutikken" (translated: "Music Store") broadcasted nation wide and reaching over a
million viewers. In the same year the "Independent Country Music Association Of Germany"
(ICMAG) voted Benté the award winner for "Song Of The Year 1999" and
"Female Singer Of The Year 1999".
Benté would then travel to Nashville, Tennessee in April 2000
for being nominated by "The Indie Tracker Magazine" for "2000 Golden Music Awards".
There she received the prestigious "Female Rising Star" Award and would also meet for the first
time Performer/Record producer "Doc "The Hitman" Holiday.
Later in the year of 2000, Bente received the "2000 ONLINE COUNTRY MUSIC AWARD"
"New Female Vocalist Of The Year".
In October 2000 Bente travelled to Hampton, Virginia USA she signed a Record Contract with
the American Award Winning Label Mega International Records noted home of such legendary
country artist as "Big Al Downing", "Doug Kershaw" and pop icons "The Searchers",
"Herman Hermits, Chauncey Black (of "Blackstreet") and Bernard Jackson (of "Surface").
Mega International Records released her new CD album"Lady Of The Evening" World Wide
On 01.01.2001. The CD album "Lady Of The Evening" was produced
by the legendary record producer Doc "The Hitman" Holiday, and recorded in part at the world
famous "Bradley's Barn" In Nashville, Tennessee using the hottest sessions players in the business.
The first single from the album is a song titled "Where Were You" written by Award Winning
Nashville Songwriter Tom Padon. "Where Were You" was also produced as a Music video
for broadcasting on national television in USA and Europe.
All this exposure would prompt an appearance in November 2000 on Norway's most popular
Saturday Night TV Show; "Tore Pa Sporet" (translated: "Tore On The Track")
broadcasted nation wide. With her new CD album "Lady Of The Evening",
Benté was ranked as the # 1 played Independent country artist in the World,
receiving airplay from country radio stations around the world.
Major Labels have already shown their interest in Benté and negotiations are now under way
